Baptism

Baptism is a sacrament of initiation where we become members of Christ and are incorporated into His Church. This typically takes place soon after a child is born. As the first teachers of a child, the parents baptize them to welcome them into the Church, and they commit to raising the child Catholic, bringing them up to know Christ.
